Tools Required

Google Analytics (GA4)
Google Tag Manager (GTM)
Google Tag Assistant (Chrome extension)

Step 1: Confirm GA + GTM Installation

Open the website with Tag Assistant extension enabled (disable ad-blockers). The site should have at least:

One GA tag: G-XXXXXX (GA4) or UA-XXXXXX (Universal)
One GTM tag: GTM-XXXXXX

Step 2: Confirm GA + GTM Access

Check the OMS for access from the client. Check all three GrowME email accounts:

access@growme.ca (Preferred)
growmecorp@gmail.ca
analytics@growme.ca

⚠️ DO NOT create a new GA account unless confirmed with the AM that existing access cannot be obtained.

After Setting Up Tracking

Add GrowME team IPs to exceptions in GA (use Regex)
Notify the "Conversion Updates" Slack channel that event tracking is set up or new conversions have been added
Update the tracking spreadsheet and the OMS

GTM Naming Best Practices: Use consistent, descriptive names for triggers, tags, and variables. Include the form type and site name. Example: [Site Name] - Gravity Form - Contact Submission
